LEAN PRODUCTION
Lean production is not so much a method but is actually a production philosophy based on a continuous process of improvement and aims to reduce the waste in production processes until the waste is eliminated.

The following represent the main objectives of lean production:
  • Eliminating waste.
  • Simplifying the production processes as far as possible.
  • Reducing production costs, eliminating the phases which do not add value and organising the remaining phases in a continuous flow.
  • Improving the service level for the customer.
The essential result of introducing this philosophy is represented by the considerably improved competitive advantage in relation to competitors.
JUST IN TIME
Just in Time. This production method is intended to minimise the waiting time for the production stocks by making them available “just in time” in the production cycle. The warehouse costs and downtimes are reduced with this organisation system, and consequently the Company margins increase.
KANBAN
Kanban is a Japanese word that translated literally means "card". It represents a variation of the JUST IN TIME system to manage warehouse stocks.
The kanban (card) is positioned on the container and describes the type of material inside the container. The system foresees filling the container when it is empty. These operations are managed in real time and avoid excessive warehouse stocks and the related costs.
