Production
The origin of a project coincides with the customer's specific need and the development of the technical design that defines its specifications.
The latter may be prepared by the customer or by the internal staff.
In any event, Workmetal S.r.l. is willing to offer its experience to improve the product by developing analyses and solutions also thanks to the support of state-of-the-art CAD/CAM IT tools which are able to guarantee reliable solutions in terms of quality, costs and delivery dates.
Workmetal S.r.l. organises its production flow into a series of consecutive processing phases (working cycles, lists of materials,
preparation and processing time schedules, operating steps which are identifiable with barcodes).
After a detailed analysis of the product to be manufactured, the production department prepares the processing cycle and the bill of materials that can be structured in the following operations: punching or laser cutting, bending, applying inserts, etc., these operations are performed by numerically controlled machines.
Each product included in the production flow is accompanied by technical documentation and detailed machining instructions, working cycles with barcodes to automatically record the actual production times.
All the activities are managed by Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software: Transmitting Proposals, recording purchase orders, order acknowledgements, planning, scheduling the work orders, planning and monitoring the workloads in the various departments, production progress in real-time for each work order, etc., and preparation of the shipping documents and invoicing to complete the various processes. The same SW is able to manage the JUST IN TIME and KANBAN processes.
When the process is completed, and if the project requires, the items are then ready to be treated (painted, galvanised, etc...) in companies which are selected in compliance with the criteria defined by our quality system.
Lastly, a final inspection is performed before delivery: in an area that is specifically equipped, highly qualified personnel
attest the product's compliance with the characteristics requested by the customer and prescribed by the ISO 9001:2008 standards.
